Chuck Forever — Calendrier ACN

About this project

Chuck Forever is a satirical tribute site built on a custom 13-month lunar calendar called the ACN (“Après Chuck Norris”) era, whose epoch starts March 20, 2026. A TypeScript engine handles real-time conversion between Gregorian and ACN dates, generates the 13 months (Janorris, Fevriaire, Marsial, Avrilanche…) of 28 days each, and inserts intercalary “Jours de Chuck” to stay aligned with leap years. The stack is deliberately minimal: Vite with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, no UI framework — rendering via direct DOM manipulation for a tiny bundle. Sections include an animated ACN clock, an annual calendar grid with daily facts, a 1940-to-An 1 ACN biographical timeline, a carousel of 50+ movie quotes, on-demand jokes from the chuckfacts.xyz API with local fallback, and a lazy-loaded YouTube gallery. The Western-themed visual language uses Rye and Lora fonts with a leather, gold, and brick palette.
